How does Micro and Nano Needling treatment work?
Micro Needling is for those who want to boost collagen, which is the primary structure in the skin’s connective tissue and is essential for skin elasticity and resilience .
Microneedling is performed by the beautician using a Skin Pen needling device to make thousands of microscopic vertical holes through the skin surface to a depth of 0.25 mm to 1.5 mm. The micro-injury that microneedling treatment creates in the skin triggers the body’s own healing process by releasing growth hormones that boost collagen production (Collagen-Induction Therapy).
This skin renewal process continues for up to 10 weeks. After the treatment, the skin will usually be slightly flushed and warm for a few hours.
Nano Needling treatment is for those who want to initiate an effective skin renewal process with immediate results. In nanoneedling, the skin is stamped with tiny 0.15 mm silicone cones. The treatment is less invasive than microneedling and has less downtime. The skin is smooth and clear immediately after treatment.
In connection with needling treatment, a medical serum will be used. Through the many microscopic channels created by the treatment, the active ingredients will be absorbed into the subcutaneous tissue up to 400 times more effectively than with regular skin application.

This applies to needle length, speed of penetration and products used before, during and after the needling treatment. After the Skinpen treatment
The micro channels created during Micro Needling are closed after a few minutes and do not cause any wounds or scars. The skin may be red, this typically subsides within a few hours. The skin may also feel a little dry in the following days.
We advise against sunbathing, exercise, sauna, swimming and makeup for the first 24 hours after treatment. It is essential that you follow your beautician’s recommendations for skin care at home for 72 hours after your microneedling treatment.
Who can’t have Microneedling?
We do not recommend Micro Needling (does not apply to Nanoneedling) if you are, for example: pregnant, sunburned, have open wounds, active acne, have herpes outbreaks, have eczema or psoriasis, have uncontrolled diabetes, are on blood thinners, chemotherapy, have a tendency to form severe keloid scars .
